Role description
The Powertrain Engineering Sweden organization has the full worldwide Product platform responsibility for Heavy Duty Engines and transmission. It is as well responsible for the installation of Heavy duty powertrains in European Volvo Products. The Driveline department is responsible to deliver a complete transmission/driveline system for both conventional powertrains as for electrified drivelines.
This position offers you the challenge to facilitate the ART events and processes and assist the teams in delivering value, in the form of advanced powertrain control functions for the future.
The role is part of the powertrain Control ART train management, and in this position you will be a servant leader and coach. Communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk and drive relentless improvement are the key activites. The RTE also has an important role in the cooperation between ART, portfolio/large solution level, line organization and projects. You will be part of the Transmission Product Team, a group of approximately 15 highly skilled and experienced individuals with a collective responsibility to lead the development of future products as well as maintaining existing products.

Your main responsibilities will be:
  • Facilitate and drive the PI Planning event and secure readiness by fostering the preparation of Vision and Backlogs, and through Pre- and Post-PI Planning meetings
  • Lead Scrum of scrums and train management meetings
  • Help manage and reduce risks and dependencies
  • Encourage collaboration between teams and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and implementation alignment
  • Drive continuous improvements e.g. in way of working
  • Be involved in all aspects of the development lifecycle, from advanced engineering and into the maintenance phase
Who are you?
We are looking for a person with proven leadership skills with ability to inspire, drive, motivate and coach team members. You possess a flexible mindset with ability to lead change and take decisions, and ability to be clear and concise in communication. Most important of all is that you have a collaborative mindset and capabilities to interact with many different stakeholders.
  • You have experience and training in Safe or Scrum/Agile/Scaled Agile work practices
  • You are holding a university degree, B.Sc. or higher in engineering
  • You are well experienced in operating in a global environment
  • Strong collaboration skills are required
  • You are comfortable to cooperate and lead people in different levels in the organization
  • You are a great communicator able to create visual communication and used to hold presentations in English
