Right now we want an individual to join our Product Planning Industrial department.
Challenge description:
Volvo Penta is providing world class Marine and Industrial engines and drivelines to OEM’s all around the world. The products are developed in-house based on market expectations and business opportunities. The role of the Product Planning Industrial department is to manage the industrial product offering for off road equipment and power generation. This covers the product life cycle from starting up a product project until phasing the product out when it’s no longer needed. This is done by taking into account input from customers, market trends and business strategies.
Currently we have new opportunities in how to develop the Industrial product portfolio within the new electromobility segment. We are now looking for a Product Manager for the Industrial segment that will have a key role in this development.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Business case assessment of new product initiatives
  • Lead pre-studies for start projects
  • Participate in projects to balance features, cost and timing
  • Support the sales organization with product and technology knowledge
  • Release products to the market

Competence Profile:
We think that you are an outgoing person who likes to connect with other people inside and outside the company in an international environment. We believe that you have an ability to analyze, prioritize and guide the way forward with a business oriented mindset. You have experience from sales or product development of electromobility solutions and you are dedicated to the products in your portfolio.

  • Master of Science or equivalent
  • Business driven attitude
  • Structured way of working
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Teamwork oriented
  • Fluent in English
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office tools
  • Electromobility system competence

Knowledge of off road drivelines and machinery or the Volvo Group product development process is an advantage but not a prerequisite.
