Mission/purpose of the Job
As director of “Digital Solutions and IT Office” your mission is to establish and run the office for Digital Solution and IT to support UDTJVs. You will support the planning and preparations of executive meetings, and prepare executive presentations and reports. The ideal candidate has a talent for grasping the bigger picture, is quick in structuring and organizing complex tasks in a way that brings out the essentials and drives the right focus, and has a generally good business sense. You will also lead and or participate in evaluations of specific strategic questions and business development projects, contributing to our journey towards UDTJVs vision. In all of what you do, it will always be in close collaboration with colleagues and decision makers across the UDTJVs organization.
  • Drive, oversee and communicate the UDTJVs solution strategy, road map, wanted position.
  • Manage the preparations of Business review meetings for UDTJVs DSIT, ELT material, including agenda setting, preparing material and coordinating the actual meetings.
  • Support the functions of Finance (BA), HR, Brand & Communication and Legal on their digitalization journey, roadmap planning and execution.
  • To oversee and lead the program execution function with full responsibility of the project portfolio and the execution thereof with strong focus on QDFC and agile approach.
  • Take full responsibility for all financial planning & IT cost optimization.
  • Drive agile and lean way of working in DSIT team

Key responsibilities/Accountabilities
1. Drive Solution strategy, Road Map, Wanted Position.
  • Facilitate the creation and execution of the road map, work with all cross functional teams
  • Short term special focus on the value creation and cost optimization (incl. decommissioning of legacy solutions).
  • Midterm focus on digitalization and long term vision.
  • Quarterly update to ELT on digitalization progress and roadmap execution.

2. Focus on essentials and driving the right focus.
  • Manage the preparations of business review meetings for UDTJVs DSIT, ELT material, AB Board, including agenda setting, preparing material and coordinating the actual meetings.
  • Represent SVP DSIT and UDTJVs viewpoint across the Group.
  • Lead and/or participate in strategic and business development projects of different nature.

3.Support HR, Finance, Brand & Communication and Legal on their digitalization journey
  • Participate in their management meetings, representing DSIT.
  • Establish functional roadmaps, oversee execution.

4. Project portfolio management – QDCF and establish accountability, coaching and support and tracking the projects and request handling.
  • Own the overall Digital Solution and IT project portfolio.
  • Lead and steer the overall DSIT project portfolio in order to secure project delivery and overall return of investment in line with the agreed roadmap and UD Truck strategy.
  • Provide support to/manage strategic programs, projects and change management initiatives, ensuring they receive adequate support and achieve the set objectives and follow-up the value creation including business case assurance.
  • Sources and support senior project managers and train and coach them as needed.

5. IT cost and forecast. Ensure value creation and cost reduction. Ensure forecast precision.
6. Drive agile and lean way of working in DSIT function.
7. Office coordination with other Office functions of the group including Group IT, VGCS, TDBA.
  • Establish the KPI / SLA dash board and monitor the same for DSIT.
  • Outside in perspective – support in the CIO network in Japan.

Educational and/or training qualifications and certificates
Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position:
Relevant university degree from a recognized institute or equivalent experience.
Experience and knowledge
Proven experience in Process and IT / Project Management.
Experience in the delivery of large scale multi-regional projects.
Agile methodology and Lean way of working experiences.
Excellent communicator with real talent for cultural integration.
Innovative, holistic and pro-active mind-set.
Able to demonstrate a clear vision, global mind-set and successful people & culture leadership.
