Supplier Relationship Management

The transport industry is developing in a higher pace than ever before. In order to remain world class within our field we are now in need of two Supplier Relationship Manager positions for our department “Global Trucks Operations” (GTO) Europe and Brazil Manufacturing.
As Supplier Relationship Manager you will be the driver of creating fantastic development of our processes together with our suppliers, meaning that this is a chance to proactively work with building relationships and supporting our suppliers, in ways that actually make a difference.

We are the Supply Chain Support organization, a strong diverse regional team within GTO Europe and Brazil Manufacturing who are truly passionate about the supply chain logistics. We support the plants logistics organizations and have three main responsibilities :
Material Supply, Transport Interface and Supplier Relationship Management) (SRM)
What you will work with as Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) ?
Your most important task is to work with supplier development. The key is building long lasting relations through customer focus, great communication and coaching. As a SRM you are responsible for:
  • Continuous improvement of suppliers
  • Managing crisis situations
  • Proactive and preventive development
  • Engaging in local, regional and global networks
  • Process development – contribute to the development of the SRM function

  • Relevant education or working experience
  • Understanding of supply chain logistics
  • Experience in working with continuous improvements and lean manufacturing

Since this job is about helping others to improve their processes it is very important to us that you have the ability to inspire and motivate others to drive change. As you will be representing the Volvo Group, a professional attitude based on high integrity is a must have.
This position is flexible and could be located in France, Sweden or Belgium but will include responsibility for activities on other sites which means that you frequently will need to travel, sometimes with short notice, it is therefore important for us that you have this flexibility.
