The Intelligent Machine Platforms department is a division of Automation and Connected Solutions at Volvo CE. We are responsible for creating customer solutions on our own Android tablet called Co-Pilot, and developing apps that will help the drivers of our machines be more efficient and environmental friendly. We also design the solutions of the future including tele-operated and autonomous machines. Our mission is to create safe solutions helping our customers reach sustainability and productivity goals. We are currently looking to expand our development team and we are eager to get to know an enthusiastic and dedicated systems engineer. You will support development of the services we provide. One of our most important products are apps on the Co-Pilot which range from operator assisting functions, to connected services.
You will participate in defining and designing our Co-Pilot android platform, functionality and its apps, including setting requirements and supporting the developers and verification engineers. The role includes defining and securing development on the Co-Pilot according to existing processes with known methods and tools as well as participating in creating new ways of working. You will be in dialogue with various potential and current suppliers of software and hardware solutions and be a key part of concept investigation and selection.
The role includes participating in continuous improvement of our ways of working and you will be encouraged to dream big, dare to fail, innovate and always invest time in personal development.
In our department we have an agile setup and we really support each other, so getting into our work is easy. You will join a Scrum team and collaborate with other teams on a daily basis, making sure to deliver a great product.
You are a systems engineer preferably with experience of Android software and app development. Having experience in UX for automotive or machinery, IT, IOT, or cloud is very meriting. You are familiar with and positive towards agile ways of working in general and Scrum in particular and may even have previous Scrum product owner experience.
You are used to working in a high pace environment, taking decisions in architecture and system requirement related questions and you might also have experience leading teams. Even more important, you are open-minded, positive, creative, fond of technology, have the “Make it happen” attitude and you are recognized as a supporting colleague.
