Senior Project Buyer Telematics

We, Connectivity & Infotainment team, are looking for a Senior Project Buyer for Telematics, located in Goteborg (Sweden). Connectivity is part of Volvo innovation roadmap, characterized by a dynamic environment, fast moving technologies, and new customers' demands. Telematics area is at the heart of the Connectivity journey of the Volvo Group, by providing the connected interface for the Volvo Products, as a Senior Project Buyer you will be responsible for driving all the sourcing and project activities within the Telematics area. You will work closely with your colleagues in the project and commodity team to secure the future supplier base of the Volvo Group.
Some key responsibilities and activities will be to:
  • Develop the Sourcing plan for components & systems according to cross-functional time plans
  • Manage Sourcing activities in project phase and drive the supplier selection process
  • Drive all relevant activities to deliver on QDCFTSR (*) targets during Project phase
  • Monitor, identify and mitigate risks in the Project phase
  • Perform daily purchasing activities related to production orders, logistics and financial flows to the suppliers.
  • Support Connectivity Segment Leader in building strategies in this area, by being part of the early phase investigations with our engineering teams
  • Work in close cooperation with all buyers on this scope
  • Actively contribute to the team development, by bringing improvement ideas, support your peers, coaching buyers when relevant, sharing good cases and ask for support when needed

You have a Master of Science or Business Administration, you are fluent in english,
Former experience in Electronics scopes, technical background and automotive experience are considered as assets
