Director Service Market & Retail – Renault Trucks Germany (m/f/d)

Summary:

A member of the Renault Trucks Management Team. To provide the leadership required to ensure consistent and effective operational and commercial performance of the Aftersales, driving to secure operational excellence and sustainable, profitable growth. Coordinates Retail Development Strategy with RT MD and VT Retail Development team.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for the development of aftersales services, providing commercial and operational support to achieve regional and Renault Trucks objectives

  • Leading and managing the aftersales team performance standards set within the budget

  • To work closely with both wholly owned and private dealers to ensure that Renault Truck standards are applied

  • To encourage, coach and develop direct reports to support continuous development in relation to personal and business objectives

  • Managing succession planning and maximising growth and development of employees

  • Ensuring regular review meetings are held with selected key account customers

  • To ensure a consistently high level of service delivery and customer care in line with Renault’s customer commitments

  • To monitor Rex performance identifying areas of improvement and agreeing initiatives to improve performance


Special assignments:
Work with Volvo Trucks Retail Development team on the following issues:

  • Manage and deliver the Renault Trucks retail strategic plan

  • Working closely with and negotiating with dealers to ensure full engagement

  • Ensure the premises and facilities are maintained to a standard commensurate with the Renault Trucks dealer operating standards

  • Identify areas of improvement in relation to retail development within Germany in line with the delivery of the customer commitments.

  • Submitting recommendations and capital requests where required


Requirements:

  • Degree in business administration or comparable degree with relevant experience at senior level

  • Good understanding of the Volvo Group Businesses or from equivalent industry

  • Visionary for market strategy and development and the resulting implementation in practice

  • Proven leadership capability, working through collaboration, driving engagement, instills trust and building effective teams

  • Strong cost awareness and business management thinking

  • Pro-active way of thinking and acting as well as "hands-on" mentality

  • High flexibility and willingness to travel

  • Strong communication skills in German and English

  • Cooperative networker and team player with a high level of personal initiative
